Stellantis is currently seeking full time manufacturing and engineering professionals to support Archer Aviation’s advanced manufacturing technology needs in order to launch their electric vertical take-off and landing (eVOTL) aircraft in 2024. Stellantis employees would be assigned to Archer project work and would work full time on-site at their San Jose, California facilities. These unique and challenging work assignments are for a 12-month period and will contribute to the rapid scaling of aircraft production to meet Archer’s commercialization plans.

The Plant Quality Engineer (PQE) - Responsible for all aspects of product conformity for their systems. and will build effective relationships with both salaried and hourly, assembly plant/corporate personnel, in order to complete projects within their area of responsibility.

Responsibilities include: Validating product changes, providing technical expertise, and improving outgoing quality that will meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. With unquestioned integrity and strength of conviction, the PQE responds to manufacturing quality issues and manages all product changes. Through the usage of advanced problem-solving methods and SPW methodology, the PQE supports all continuous quality improvement initiatives within the plant. Furthermore, the PQE must work collaboratively with cross-functional manufacturing teams and facilitates consensus and drive action from the main stakeholders. 

Requisitos

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university (other Engineering degrees, in combination with relevant experience may be considered).
  • Proficiency in both Microsoft and Google applications.
  • Ability to perform data analysis to identify top issues, summarize trends, distinctions, and effectiveness of corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
  • Effective presentation/public speaking skills (comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization from hourly employees to senior management).
  • Experience with problem-solving tools.
  • Demonstrated abilities in coaching and teaching.
  • Self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-intensity environment while working on multiple projects.
  • Passion for spending time on the shop floor and fully understanding the build process from a 4M1D standpoint (man, method, machine, material, and design). 


Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience in resolving complex issues, including root cause analysis and repairs.
  • Previous experience in Product Engineering and/or Vehicle Integration/Development at a supplier or Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturer.
  • Previous Manufacturing and/or Quality experience within a vehicle/component assembly plant.
  • Advanced Degree.
  • Reactive Green Belt/Black Belt Certification.
